Gemma is a cinematographer, camera trainee, video assistant and photographer currently based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Her cinematography and camera assistant experience is in short films and documentaries. Recently, Gemma has been focusing on working in the film/TV industry as a video assistant and camera trainee. She has also made videos for clients such as Fife Council, 95 Social and The Youth and Young.
She graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in film from Edinburgh Napier University in 2020. Through her studies, she spent a semester studying at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada in 2018.
She was the director of photography for a short film, Broken Faces, which was shortlisted for Nespresso Talents 2018 and for Paper City which screened at Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2019 and was officially selected for iFilmFestival 2019. Piece by Piece, was selected for numerous festivals including City of Angels Women's Film Festival 2021 and was screened at Edinburgh Shorts Film Festival 2021.
